We currently have a part-time Oracle DBA position for a client in West Des Moines, Iowa. This client is looking for a person with Oracle experience to come in and troubleshoot issues on an Oracle instance. The need is for someone to evaluate their current system.  Their current database server does one job process and they want to determine whether or not parallel processing is a good option on this database server. If so, would any parallel tuning options be available and help come up with tuning recommendations for the current processor.
