SR. IT Quality Assurance Analyst (JOB ID: 1114G)


We have a client seeking to fill a position for a SR. Quality Assurance Analyst. The Sr. QA Analyst is responible for monitoring application development aherence to established proceduress, prgramming standards and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Uses independent judgemetn and exercises discretion in executing their duties. This position requires a high degree of confidentiality.

Esstential Functions:

  1. Review adherence to IT project approval process
  2. Review the application development cycle up to testing phase
  3. Review prior testing done by the Programmer and possibly a lead analyst
  4. Do additional testing, if needed The amount of testing needed depends on the complexity of the request, the amount of prior testing done and any possible financial impact
  5. Monitor adherence to client programming standards and check program documentation
  6. Will check program needs and functionality matches the user request
  7. Help determine the need for additional AS400 user documentation and training
  8. Will determine if a special application back out plan is needed on each IT project 
  9. Will promote from test into application
  10. Will work with AS400 operations to set up new AS400 options
  11. Will notify AS400 users that their request is complete and get user sign off
  12. Try to verify all of the steps needed for successful project completion are completed
  13. Complete the project folder adn verify that it contains all of the appropriate items
  14. Review file changes done on using DBU via a DBU audit log
  15. Verify all DBU steps were done correctly and that the DBU was correctly approved
  16. Complete the DBU project folder and verify that it contains all the appropriate items
  17. Scan project folders to get them into electronic form
  18. Will maintain confidentiality of data
  19. Will perform other duties as assigned

  6. On time completion of IT projects
  7. Must be able to work effectively with all levels of management and employees
  8. Validate IT processes through careful testing to maximize the IT benefit to client

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science preferred, and/or equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the preferred knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
  2. Prefer minimum five (5) years of experience in Application Development
  3. A good understanding of ISeries Access for Windows and AS400 programming to be able to set up program test situations.
  4. PRMS Enterprise Software experience is helpful, but not required.
  5. Must have good Personal Computer skills using Microsoft products
  6. Must have good interactive people skills
